Unless you know someone who is skilled in business or you are seeking advice/help from an experienced professional, always go with your gut in making any decisions, either large or small. Its YOUR business. Do what you feel is right for your business, do what you feel you're able to, do what you feel you want to, look out for your clients/customers and protect their best interests while protecting yours. Yes, you may have to go cheaper than you're worth in the beginning, yes you may have to give more than receive, yes you may have to make exceptions when you're just starting out but if you do, it will get you further than if you did nothing at all. Don't let anyone take advantage of you, but as long as you treat your clients like gold, treat them like they really, truly matter (as they should) you will go far. After all, what is a business without customers or clients? Do what is right for you and your clients and take everyone else's advice with a grain of salt. Sometimes you'll get amazing advice and sometimes you'll get stupid advice. It's up to YOU to determine what's right for you and no one else.
