Hourly research is designed to have an undetermined timeline and it meant for clients who either have a very specific question they want answered or for clients who are looking for their country of origin and/or multi-generational research.
Prior to entering into an agreement, McHardy Genealogical Services will provide you with an estimate of how many hours it may require to reach your set research goal following the preliminary report.
Hourly Research
The hourly pricing is determined by the estimated total time it may take to reach your research goal. Hourly cost starts at $120/hour and drops with every 5 hours of estimated research (meaning, if it's estimated that your research goal will only take 5 hours, then you'll be charged $120/hour. If the research is estimated at 10 hours, the hourly cost will drop to $115/hour, and so on.)
